Soulive at The Roxy Friday night's Roxy show in Hollyweird was typical Soulive...
...Throw down from the opening number and don't let up. It's great when you can count on an act to be consistently good. Reggie on vocals but no horns this trip. Myself and some folks I met there were asked to sit in the $100 minimum area.

Damn. Did you get a state room, too? I see you've got the bootleg pics, now how about the bootleg audio? How long have they been around now?

Working on the Cristal-stocked "state room" for the next show. No bootleg audio. Although I don't think they'd care. I believe they've been around as a band since the end of the '90s. tA Tribal Disorder

http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 As you know, I saw them in NYC last Fall.....awesome. But according to your star treatment, I'm going with you the next time! And because of my mild allergy to alcoholic beverages, I will enjoy a nice glass of water ![]() "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive."

The opening act was a rapper by the name of Lateef the Truth Teller. He was tolerable. At least his set wasn't full of bitches/hoes/murder raps. tA Tribal Disorder

Why can't they come to Mpls. this summer? Hi tA.
Can I come with next time you're in the Cristal room? "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Hi tA.
Can I come with next time you're in the Cristal room? How's this: 6/17/06 - Indy Jazz Festival - 7:30pm (Military Park) Regarding The Cristal Room, you're most welcome. However we'll have to build one in The Roxy first. (There's always the infamous Rainbow next door.) tA Tribal Disorder

http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 But that's in Indianapolis, not Minneapolis. Thanks for the invite, but you may end up carrying me out of there are free drinks involved. But one of these days I will visit the Rainbow. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 They have been around since 1999-easily 1 of the funkiest, tightest bands around today. Go see them u won't be disappointed. I will be seeing them on June 16 at the Rochester Jazz Fest.
