...until I saw her new video for "Work It Out". The tune itself reminded me of Prince a lot and she looked a lot like Tina Turner in the video. I was never really feeling her until now. But this little project at least is hot!

A while ago I saw Beyonce on the cover of a magazine wearing a wig, makeup and clothes to look like 60s era Diana Ross and the the rest of Destiny's Child were dressed up like the Supremes.

I've hated them ever since.

Now, she's moving on to imitate Tina Turner? What'll she do next? Maybe put on an evening gown two sizes too small and a fur coat and come out onstage as Aretha Franklin?

I was neither a Beyonce' hater or fan, until I saw her shake that ass on the MJ tribute. Now I call myself a fan.

Seriously though in terms of modern pop music Destiny's Child are very superior.

She was never a favorite, although can't deny the few hit songs Destiny's Child' had, although I never had the urge to get their CD. But Beyonce herself, was just TOO much in our faces when she was the 'lead' singer in Destiny's child. No doubt she was bound to go solo. But if her songs are good then, well hey!...

Just saw the video, and it's kinda funky! It reminds me of a Macy Gray type of song, with her style too, but her leg poses make her look like Tina Turner.

I don't think anyone is surprised that Beyonce is going solo. She has always been the focus of the group. The other members of Destiny's Child have been there as support and backup singers.

In a way, I think Destiny's Child was used as a vehicle for Beyonce. Being in a group allowed her to develop as part of a team. There wasn't as much pressure on her as an individual to succeed when she had the other girls around her.

But it's always been understood that its Beyonce who was being groomed to be the star.

I don't know how anyone can call her a fat ass. She has a absolutely beautiful, healthy looking body. No wonder so many young women have eating disorders when they hear people say someone like Beyonce is fat. She has one of the nicest bodies have I have seen on a young woman in the music business in years. I am not a huge fan of her music, but I think her body is beautiful.

i agree with you, kisscamille. To call that girl fat is really offensive. Are you all looking for supermodels or something? Does a woman have to have a perfect body to show some leg?? anyway beyonce's going for the top that's for sure. DC was always about her and that's always bothered me somehow, the others were just there to fill space. She'd be better off solo, and the others too.

She's cool, very sexy, beautiful body! She's thick in the hips and thighs, I like that. I don't know if she's that good of a singer yet. I think her solo album might be a good insight, to see her true vocals.

beyonce is cool, she has a great voice and she writes some of her songs, even produces. This girl is only 19. We gonna hear a lot of her in the future. look at her eyes, she has power and a strong personality.
Prince looked like Jimy hendrix in the early 80ties. Sometimes he sounded like Sly and the family stone. But he created his own style along the way. Beyonce wil get her own sound.
Work it out is a great song...i love it.
