Well, of course she had to do the crucifying trick oneday. I mean, she's almost 50. Time's running out, so she probably had to do it now. Funnily enough, she's at a certain stage of her career when she is actually widely accepted by the masses, liking Madonna is about as uncomformist as buying a coffee table and a matching sofa for it from IKEA. Yes! There was a time when this might have made more sense, but now she's not so controversial. The context of the song is about abuse and in society and in families. Comparing the struggles of the oppressed today to teh struggles of the oppressed of years gone by. Just a picture doesn't show the whole scope of what's going on You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna
