Even though I'm from the West Coast (Cali), I'm going for "Self Destruction". That cut had all my favorite MC's of the day on it, it was the original, and the production was better (IMO). I like the HEAL Project least of all. Especially after hearing how LL didn't wanna be involved in the video.

Same as Avram, I'm frim DA WESSSSSIIIIIDE! but I have to give it to "Self Destruction" because that shit was just tight and pumpin', ALTHOUGH, I do like the line in "Same Gang" when Above The Law comes on and the lead rapper says "Bein' the pimps that we are" LOL! Hilarious!

That song TRULY captured Hip-Hop at its finest hour.
That song was pure concousness and intelligence.
But little good it did.

...Cuz actually it wound up being a very prophetic song of what was about to shortly come for Hip-Hop, with the emergence of Gangsta Rap, and it's whole violent and "bitch" type lyrics and glorification of black on black gangbanging culture that chewed up the whole Hip-Hop movement and ultimately destroyed it.

Dr. Dre and NWA were responsible for that,...the same guys that coyly produced All in the Same Gang.

This song will forever be connected in my mind with a house party at my best friends house when I was 13. We played that song on repeat (except "repeat" in those days = rewinding the tape over and over) for so long, some of our friends threatened to leave.
