Damn Janet. Why the fuck can't you learn how to enunciate your lyrics? Some of the VR lyrics were excellent, but you just mumbled your way through that album. Some of your recent stuff is so shitty I'm glad you sorta just blabbered your way through it. But wow. You're paid how much? You can't afford a vocal coach to work on that?

Like for the longest time I hated All Nite Dont Stop because I thought she was saying "pop it like you're popping a Coke"...I thought that was so lame. But it was "cork" thank god.

I'd rather not know a word of what's said than to hear every word clearly and not enjoy the musicality of something. Never had a problem with her vocals.

I agree with you guys and I think it's because she can't really sing. She does a good job of faking it. I like Janet, but I have always felt that her voice is weak and she does whatever she can to mask that.

If this is true, I think she's a good lip-syncher myself. I never would have guessed those "If" vocals from the "Velvet Rope" tour weren't live.

I agree, but I beleive that alot has to do with the Production - Jam and Lewis as we all know are legends... but the songs that she comes through best are light on Reverb and nicely compressed- I know that their Chief Engineer Steve Hodge has left and if you listen to anything that he's done.. Control , Rhythm Nation, etc ... he has a great talent for taking those whispering vocals and putting them in the mix nicely.. That's a very difficult thing to do with Janets little voice.. Don't get me wrong.. Janet has a great tone in her voice, just needs the rights songs that don't have so much effect that they drown her out....We shall see with the new album.. I hope they contact Steve Hodge though....

People aren't interested in Janet's or Madonna's voices as much as the spectacle thay put on. It's not a rock and roll concert and it's more theatrical.

Despite Elton's big mouth claiming Madonna lip synchs her shows a few years ago, she's still selling out shows 2 years later. People respect her as a performer whether you do or not. Her last tour she mimed 3 out of the 22 songs performed, yes we were all robbed.

And how can you compare this to Milli Vanilli? Madonna or Janet didn't have other vocalists sing their songs. I swear, you people like to dish at these performers without hard facts. At least research your claims before you make an ass of yourself.
