How many of y'all remember New York Undercover? Ground-breaking cop show with that urban vibe to it. The best part was how they'd open the show with a current song that plays as they set up the premise for that episode and then the other best part was when they'd have musical guests singing old school sons! I LOVED THAT SHIT! I miss that show! Too bad they had to go and fuck it up by changing the cast and premise of the show.

I remember the show with Erykah Badu where she sang "Stay" by Chaka Khan! Loved that shit!

Then you saw the beginnings of actors like Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Michael Michelle, Boris Kodjoe...and others

Thank God TVOne has reruns of it!

I saw a rerun a little while ago and remembered how much I loved the openings. Sometimes I didn't even watch the whole show but I watched the beginning just to hear what they were gonna play and see the action. I forgot about all the musical guests they had. Good times. Good times.

Better yet, who remembers Det. Torres from Michael Jackson's "Beat It" video? LOL! Then he used to be a background actor on the series "Fame." He came a LONG way, didn't he?
