She looks just like Vanessa
The Right Stuff
Uh-uh, not Vanessa with the singer career
But the x-rated video queen
Know what I mean?

Huge fan. I just discovered her duet with Al Jarreau of God's Gift to the World. Love that song.

I have to check out that one.
Her latest album has many good cover-songs, her versions of "One less bell to answer" and "Midnight blue" are wonderful.

Yes, I have that album. I used to play the songEverlasting Love constantly. Saw her in concert for it and she was really really good. She danced and everything. I think we posted about her before in a thread. I think we are 2 of like 3 fans here on the Org. biggrin

I`m not suprised, i think many people don`t take her seriously as a singer because of her beautiful looks and the Miss America story.
She does have a beautiful, mature voice, which is perfect for the kind of songs she sings. She`s also a decent actress nod

I agree. She's been doing this for years with her looks and the pageant situation she has been fortunate to be so strong and grounded personality.

She's very Broadway actually and alot of people just aren't into those kind of performers. Unless you love Broadway of course.

Also, I think it's interesting how it seems you can't discuss her professional career without someone bringing up 'the pics'. You'd think 20 years later and with celebs posing nude and doing videos being so common, it'd be old news.

Not necessarily but it's usually from people who don't even like her or know about her career. They just know there were photos which has nothing to do with Kiss of the Spider Woman. I do understand that it was a huge scandal and unfortunately, something like that will always be around. Guccione even wanted to reprint the photos.

I agree. The pics are passe. I mean what ever happened to Suzette Charles, the woman who took her place? NOTHING.

I wish Vanessa blew up more, but I must admit, that some of the stuff was boring as hell. But I have every CD except the latest.

I actually adore Vanessa Williams music.

Used to play The Comfort Zone every nite before I went to bed when I was a little younger.

I love the song "Goodbye" and her cover of Angela Bofill's "Still In Love." Among so many others.

What a great album. mushy
