Bernie's keyboards are a little more prominent which is both interesting and a little obtrusive

I think it starts off with that long instrumental to counter the CD ending with the long abd fast/drilling/hard hitting "Wars Of Armageddon." They're like total opposites..

Eddie was hit and miss, and he hit on Maggot Brain and Super Stupid
outside of that he had a bunch of misses. Eddie was not even one of the best players Clinton had.

"Eddie Hazel = overrated..If he were white, no one would care". Pure bullshit statement.
Spare me please...If Eddie had been white, he would been on the cover of every guitar rock magazine with Joe Perry and Ted Nugent back in the 1970's. If Eddie had been white, his name would have been mentioned on the top 10 guitar polls throughout the 70's and 80's. If Eddie had been white he would have had the same popularity that SRV had in the 80's and people would have spoke in the same excitement and exuberance as they did with SRV. If Eddie had been white, his music would have been played along w/ rock greats like Led Zep, Jimi, Deep Purple, and Sabbath on FM rock radio. If Eddie had been white, some guitarists wouldn't scratch their heads going "Eddie who?" Eddie played with the uniform he was given and he did some amazing things for the short time he was here.

Everyone is entitled to his opinion, but your opinion of Eddie is like saying that Einstein was no genious. You can voice your opinion here, but your opinion is ridiculous.

Eddie was not even one of the best players Clinton had. well from a purely technical standpoint you're right that Eddie may not have been the most proficient guitarist to have ever been in P-funk but I'm really curious as to what you consider Eddie's "misses" because Maggot Brain and Super Stupid alone are "hits" most guitarists would give their right arm for to have in their career arc, hell Maggot Brain's probably my pick for one of the greatest pieces of improvised music ever created on ANY instrument. In terms of style, emotion and creativity I still consider him the best P-funk axe-man even if Michael Hampton or Blackbird may have more technical chops. [Edited 5/11/06 17:06pm]

If Eddie were white he would not be so celebrated. In a way if Eminem was black, no one would really care.
I never said I don't like Eddie, but to a point he is slightly overrated. He has too songs: Maggot Brain and Super Stupid. Sure, he is great, but he is no guitar god. He just lacks the material or consisitency. For people to sit here and say he was better than Michael Hampton, and Blackbird is atrocious. Michael Hampton plays Maggot Brain better then Eddie ever did. SPYZFAN1 said: "Eddie Hazel = overrated..If he were white, no one would care". Pure bullshit statement.
