Here's one of my favorites from last year... Now if you are in tune with South Asian television, this video was shown all the time. It was like the "In Da Club" of India last year. Big song. Anyhoo, here's the video for it...

Did Dr. Dre produce "In Da Club?" or is there a remix he is on with 50 Cent? I thought Eminem produced 50's music. However, I don't follow the details with rap these days. Can you or someone else fill me in..?

As I understood it Dre did the beat. And the beat made the song.

I heard a sample of it on iTunes (after the fact I looked and there it was) It wasn't as good as I thought it would be without the rapping. Maybe 50 does add something to that awesome beat, as much as I hate to say it. whofarted

the beat didnt make the song, 50 Cent made the song a classic, with the catchy opening go shorty, then the hook, to the bridge, it is probably the best rap single ever to go to number #1, it is just a crazy record, and the funny thing is everybody in rap and the aftermath clique passed up on this song, and 50 heard it and just ripped that track up.

reasonable minds can disagree . . . here are the lyrics . . .

Go, go, go, go
Go, go, go shorty
It's your birthday
We gon' party like it's yo birthday
We gon' sip Bacardi like it's yo birthday
'Cause you know we don't give a fuck
It's not your birthday!

You can find me in the club, bottle full of Bud
Mama, I got that X, if you into takin' drugs
I'm into having sex, I ain't into making love
So come give me a hug if you into getting rubbed

When I pull out up front, you see the Benz on dubs
When I roll 20 deep, it's 20 knives in the club
Niggas heard I fuck with Dre, now they wanna show me love
When you sell like Eminem, and the hoes they wanna fuck
But homie ain't nothing change ho's down, G's up
I see Xzibit in the Cutt that nigga roll that weed up
If you watch how I move you'll mistake me for a playa or pimp
Been hit wit a few shells but I dont walk wit a limp
In the hood, in L.A. they saying "50 you hot"
They like me, I want them to love me like they love 'Pac
But holla in New York them niggas'll tell ya im loco
And the plan is to put the rap game in a choke hold
I'm feelin' focused man, my money on my mind
I got a mill out the deal and I'm still on the grind
Now shawty said she feeling my style, she feeling my flow
Her girlfriend wanna get bi and they ready to go

My flow, my show brought me the dough
That bought me all my fancy things
My crib, my cars, my clothes, my jewels
Look nigga i done came up and i ain't change.

And you should love it, way more then you hate it
Nigga you mad? I thought that you'd be happy I made it
I'm that cat by the bar toasting to the good life
You that faggot ass nigga trying to pull me back right?
When my junk get to pumpin in the club it's on
I wink my eye at ya bitch, if she smiles she gone
If the roof on fire, let the motherfucker burn
If you talking bout money homie, I ain't concerned
I'm a tell you what Banks told me cause go 'head switch the style up
If the niggas hate then let 'em hate
Watch the money pile up
Or we go upside there wit a bottle of bub
You know where we fucking be

Don't try to act like you ain't know where we been either nigga
In the club all the time nigga, its about to pop off nigga
Shady Aftermath

Compared to a Jigga, Mos, Com, or Nas . . . Fitty was average at best.

He rode the track lovely tho.

compare in da club to Jigga, Nas songs at commercial success and lets be real, 50 Cent isnt average, 50 Cent dumb down his lyrics so he can succeed, just like Prince dumb down his music with Purple Rain so he could crossover,

if u heard 50 before he got signed, he use to be Nas's rhyme buddy back in the day, and he easily hanged with Nas on every track they did 2gether.

50 is hated on mostly because of his success and the fact that he is cocky, not because of talent, because Get RIch Or Die Trying is one of the only albums that ever lived up to expectations critically and commercially, there isnt a bad song on Get Rich Or Die Trying.

I'm trying to follow you. Are you saying compare Nas' and Jigga's singles to Fitty's and he isn't average? I disagree. "Made You Look" and "H.O.V.A." are superior lyrically.

And surely you don't mean to suggest that Prince "dumbed down" his sound for Purple Rain.

if u heard 50 before he got signed, he use to be Nas's rhyme buddy back in the day, and he easily hanged with Nas on every track they did 2gether.

Interesting. I know Fitty's been around for a hot minute, but maybe if you post lyric for lyric I'll see. I personally listen to much less hip-hop than backinaday. It's hard to imagine Fitty even being close to Nas' level, but find the lyrics, post'em and make your case.

We were talking about "In Da Club," though. Read those lyrics and they're pretty basic. Even you admit Fitty dumbed them down, so to speak.

50 is hated on mostly because of his success and the fact that he is cocky, not because of talent, because Get RIch Or Die Trying is one of the only albums that ever lived up to expectations critically and commercially, there isnt a bad song on Get Rich Or Die Trying.

Fitty isn't hated or loved by me. I do think he's a pale imitation of Tupac, and that his skills are average on the mic. But hey, he doesn't need my hate OR my love. He's rich.

LOL@ this person telling me get lyrics,is this how u judge rappers you read there lyrics, then all these wordsmith underground rappers who make nosense must be your favorite rappers too. LISTEN to the songs, dont read no lyrics. If you want songs search for them, trust me 50 Cent is a monster and can get very lyrical when he wants too, cop his true first LP Power Of Dollar, or 50 Cent is the future

I'm trying to follow you. Are you saying compare Nas' and Jigga's singles to Fitty's and he isn't average? I disagree. "Made You Look" and "H.O.V.A." are superior lyrically.

are Made You Look and HOVA commercial songs, nope if you want to compare Made You Look to Many Men that is a valid reason but compare Nastradamus or Braveheart Party to In Da Club, or compare Change CLothes or One of Jay-z many lame singles he has released in his time.

Fitty isn't hated or loved by me. I do think he's a pale imitation of Tupac, and that his skills are average on the mic. But hey, he doesn't need my hate OR my love. He's rich.

50 and Tupac arent the same are even remotely alike, people always suck Tupac off like he was great on the mic, he was average also, Tupac was a wanna be Ice mixed with Chuck D, and just another person who rarely listens to rap and calls everybody a fake tupac
