and the songs on the CD

1. The Beast Within
2. Vogue
3. Nobody Knows Me
4. American Life
5. Hollywood (Remix)
6. Die Another Day
7. Lament
8. Like A Prayer
9. Imagine
10. Mother And Father
11. Susan MacLeod/Into The Groove
12. Music
13. Holiday
14. I Love New York

I don't get "I Love New York"....did she do that during her shows? Or is that the "Hint, hint...I'm still sort of pushing "COADF" but in a tottally half ass way"? Too bad "Into the Groove" isn't on the DVD...and I hate to ask again, but what is cut out of the CD that she did live?

Frozen
Express Yourself
Burning Up
Material Girl
Hanky Panky
Deeper and Deeper
Bedtime Story
Nothing Fails
Don't Tell Me
Papa Don't Preach
Crazy For You

are the songs that are left off.

A boxset of unreleased tunes and demos!

I'm listening now to the early demo of Deeper and deeper. Shep made the flamenco guitar in midi! So fun! biggrin

After this tour,Madonna's next major project should be a multi-disc box set filled with hits, remixes and rarities. It's long overdue. And where is the remaster of 'Like A Prayer'? Hell, they should also remaster 'You Can Dance','I'm Breathless' and 'Erotica'.She needs to pay more attention to her back catalog.

I agree but she is terrible at it! I mean, the "remasters" could have been a lot better (where are the b-sides/tracks released around those eras?). Her greatest hits CDs are never complete and edited terribly. Even a simple task like her video collection of clips from 1993 to 1999 has stuff missing. That being said, you could always say at least she doesn't expliot her back catalog (altough she might be in danger of that with "Revisted" and "Secret"...We'll see).

In that case, she totally sucks! A live verison of "Nothing Fails"? When she did that live on MTV, I figured it was easily the next single. She sometimes really doesn't get it....

in my humble opinion it should have been the first single.

I always liked "AL" as a song and first single, but after it bombed, a perfect bounce back would be a song like "Nothing Fails". It's almost too big and impressive (and out of character from the album, which was hard to define) to be a first single, if that makes an sense.

I would have done Nothing Fails and Nobody Knows Me as the lead singles. Maybe even name the album Nobody Knows Me.

I would have gone:

1. "Hollywood" (really catchy radio hit sound to the chorus)
2. "Intervention" (for the big Sheryl Crow-ish Top 40 hook)
3. "Nothing Fails"
4. "Love Profusion"
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

The ReInvention version is way better. Some beautiful synth strings done by Stuart on there.

"Hollywood"? "Hollywood" tanked for a reason and not just the "American" backlash effect. It was not a great single by any means. Wouldn't have made a good lead single, IMHO. Maybe if there was a fifth single....maybe!

Singles should have been:

American Life
Nothing Fails (original, for the love of God!)
Mother And Father
Love Profusion
..."Hollywood", maybe even "Nobody Knows Me"

Is that available anywhere? Or do you mean she just did that song on tour last time?

It will be available when the dvd hits the shelves in June.

It's not much different from the original execept segments of the original passage were snipped and the musical arrangement is different.
