New Bill Lets Music Firms Hack Napster-Like Systems! ~*~
Since ya'lls love music so much thought you might want to know about this...again! Think of it as an update... http://news.yahoo.com/new...right_dc_1 Media companies(RECORD and movie companies, but you know the record companies are pushing this one!) would be allowed to sabotage Napster-style networks to prevent songs, movies and other copyrighted materials from being swapped over the Internet under a bill introduced in Congress on Thursday. Write your congressman/woman! Funny how how the RIAA twisted "Internet SHARING" into "Internet Piracy" and blame the consumers for their fair usage rights... Oh and read the discussion boards...there are some great posts. For example one person wrote: "So ironic... "Online piracy undermines the growth of legitimate music sites and hurts all consumers in the long run. Every dollar lost to piracy is a dollar that cannot be invested in fresh, new artists we have all come to expect and enjoy." It should read "The music industrty undermines the growth of legitimate music sites and hurts all consumers in the long run. Over 90% of every dollar earned by musicians will go into the corprate suits pocket on not the artist, instead of being invested in fresh, new artists we have all come to expect and enjoy" | |

We need to pull out the big guns. Can we create a "NEW CD BOYCOT?" seriously. CD's are not nessisary for our existance, if we got all of our friends to do it we could take the music industry down in 3 months!
Let's do it people! | |
