How Janet Jackson lost the weight...

Janet's secret is not lipo, not starvation, not gastric bypass. A few months back, Janet signed up for a healthy gourmet delivery service called Fresh Dining, a company that is becoming Hollywood's new thing.

Sources tell us that Fresh Dining customized the meals to maximize a quick result, emphasizing foods low in carbs and high in protein.

Janet's breakfasts range from buckwheat pancakes to scrambled eggs with a side of turkey bacon. Her lunches came with an emphasis on salads -- seared tuna with fresh greens is a favorite. She also chowed down on cranberry salad with fresh greens, toasted walnuts and blue cheese.

For dinner the singing icon feasted on filet mignon, as well as seared line-caught salmon with lentils and fresh baby vegetables. Fresh Dining also specializes in low carb pasta suppers.

Meals range between 1000 and 1400 calories per day.

We're told other Fresh Dining celeb clients include Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres, Michelle Branch, Denise Richards and Mark McGrath.

Fresh Dining would not comment about their clients -- you know, the whole confidentiality thing. But take it to the bank -- the stars are dropping tons of weight by using the service.

She lost it because she has a lot of leisure time, as well as her own cook, dietician, nutritionist, and personal trainers.

no doubt. if part of my job (a job that makes me millions of dollars, by the way) was to work out and look great in public, i'd have an eight pack too! unfortunately, i have to do things like work, go to school, do my own grocery shopping, cook my own food, etc, etc.

good for her, though! if i had the money i'd have my own dietician, physical trainer, and personal chef too!

Yea, I don't know why they're acting all awed about the fact that she lost weight. It's been 5-6 months, she can schedule her day however the fuck she wants, pay a trainer & have someone cook lowfat meals for her. Where's the math in that? confused

Years ago when I had a stint of unemployment giggle I worked out twice a day for 2 weeks straight (every day) & appeared FIT after TWO WEEKS. It's not that hard when you have the time/drive/willpower/$...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I was doing some 2 week pill shit, eating chicken breast & rice, salads, REALLY cutting back. But I had all the time in the world since I wasn't working or in school - all I was focusing on was the diet & exercise. Who can do that on a regular though? I sure can't lol

yeah, during leisure time all of that's just fine. i will be juicing carrots
and ginger, steaming some fish, working out, drinking lots of water, eating
only wholegrane products, hardly any meat etc etc

but once i'm bussy at work, feel a bit tired, have some stress, i usually do
to much before i can think about food or excersise again and before i know
it i'm feet up on the couch, munchin' on crisps for dinner, washing them down
with coffee and cigarettes and sayin fuck all to excersise

biggrin
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

...that menu sounds very Dr. Agatson-South Beach Diet to me...I like that way of eating...low-fat dairy, lean meats and fish, soyfoods, whole grains, legumes, fruits, and hella veggies and salads... no refined sugar, no white flour, no white potatoes (sweet poatoes instead)...it's very balanced, and when you excercise reularly it will keep you pretty fit. I've been indulging in soul food and comfort classics for winter & spring and I feel sooooo heavy and sluggish, but since summer's coming all that's about to change. I know that when I switch to foods like the others I mentioned above I become more energetic and mentally alert, and when I include exercise I have the added bonus of fitting into my "cute" jeans and don't feel like I'm about to fall over when I try to wear a damn stilleto sandal down the street lol

but for the rest of us poor slobs, that's why the good Lawd created amazon.com
lol lol lol you can get your chef and dietician on through the books, and get your trainer on through dvds "ABS OF STEEL" or "THE FIRM" lol lol lol ...I swear even 20 years after it's intital release, as cheesy as it is, I still LOOOOOVE me some ABS OF STEEL...the first week of it will kill you, and you'll be SCREAMING at your tv, calling the instructor every "'%!!!=(/%"*"!" imaginable, but after 4 weeks, you'll be a sexy motha-sunthin' runnin' around town cool !!!

Listen.
I've been living a healthy lifestyle for years and I have friends who make a living as personal trainers. I know from experience.

No matter how much you work out, no matter what supplements you take, no matter what "fad diet" you use, a person will never see significant changes in their body until they eat healthy food.
Yes, I'm sure Janet has been workin' out like a beast, and that's good. But you have to put it together with every day good eating, and when you do that, your body will do whatever you want it to do.

..agreed...again, when I throw out refined sugar and starches, and concentrate on whole grained foods...it's simply healthier, it lowers my glycemic index and my heart is generally just all around happier...I would suppose sugar in moderation is okay, but so many foods are just PACKED with it...I have to say that I really prefer a feather light, homemade strawberry or lemon mousse (minus the heavy cream and 56 cups of sugar sugar, but made from ricotta instead) against a hunk of cheesecake anyday...
