The MANEATER video has been playing for a little bit here in Germany; it didn't grab me very much and I usually change the channel when it comes on, as I preferred the last album (which some dismissed as too ethnic)...I will admit though, she looks AMAZING for being a relatively new mom, though...she WHIPPED that body back into shape like PA-DOW !!!!

Actually, I think Nelly was more interested in being a mother during that period and didn't promote it as aggressively as she did her debut. Her focus really wasn't on campaigning Folklore. Plus, I believe Nelly fell into an 'expectation trap' with her last LP. Now some EXPECT her to sound "ethno/folkpop." While that's one of her niche sounds, I don't mind her exploring urban and doing something danceable since she's been making stuff like this since her debut (thinking of "Turn Off The Light (Timbaland RMX)" and her much-lauded appearance on Missy's "Get Ur Freek On").

OK, Nelly's new track "Promiscuous" W-O-W. That's a BANGA[!] I've been spinning it all week long. The kids were getting lifted to this song when I went out a few nites ago (myself included).

MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic are playing the "Promiscuous" video almost every half-hour if at all possible.

And I love it!

I saw it! I thought she did a good job. It was very dance heavy. Timbaland came through and performed with her live. That was a welcomed suprised. "Promiscuous"was a bit stiff, but she made up for it with "Maneater." I loved the little backwards knee kick she and the dancers were doing. They were breakin' it down to that song. It was like a dance army during that track. I'm liking the direction she's going in this era, very dancey and hot.
