MADONNA TICKETS $185 OUCH Go see prince

Checked tickets for Madonna show in chicago and tickets were $185, with service charge, These were upper deck seats at united center which is huge. Come on prince give out concert info soon so all these people that will pay that much to see madonna will have money left for your shows. Don't get me wrong I love Madonna and have never seen here in concert but I'm not about to spend $185 to go see it on a tv screen cause i'm siting too far away.

madonna comes nowhere near prince in my favorite artists list. she's a mediocre singer, dancer, and songwriter. her shows rely on spectacle (and the amazing talents of her dance troupes) more than they rely on her.

that said, the re-invention tour was the best concert i've ever seen in my life. ever. i had more fun at that show than any prince show i've ever been to (and i've been to 29).

i won't pay 350+ service fees per ticket to see anyone but i'm not gonna say she isn't worth it.

i paid $500 for 2 tix to see Maddy @MSG for the drowned world tour, and even tho my seats weren't that close, i have to say it was worth every penny... except for the damn 50 dollas i spent on a tshirt, on its 1st wash the damn screenprint peeled off!

They say the value of something is whatever people are willing to pay for it, but jeez, that's just being greedy on Madonna's part. The only reason she came close in 2004 to profitting as much as Prince was because of her high ticket prices.

And consider the fact she did less tour dates.
Madonna will always sell her shows whether she has hit albums or not.

For liked Madonna in the 80"s, but haven't really been into her since then. She really shits on her fans when it comes to those concert tickets. I guess it's worth it, if you want to see a "show" . I'm glad that Prince concerts are really about the music, and not all the other bullshit.

i remember prince having a crazy 1000 price in australia where the fans got to sit on the stage. seems to me like he can certainly be about the "other bullshit" when he chooses to. and for the record, prince has charged upwards of 200 dollars per ticket in the past. unfortunately, when he did so, he made it the only price (check the prices for when he played atlantic city during the newpowersoul tour).

its a business run by capitalism. prince is no different.

I had a lot more fun when I saw Prince at the New Morning, The Bataclan (twice) or in Brussels (1995) than I had at the re-invention tour. Madonna's was not a concert, it was a spectacle.

I just got my Chicago tix for Madge this morning...I got upper deck for $55 apiece...that's not abnormal...you shouldn't have to spend $185.

I'm not one of those people who will pay THAT much for concert tickets. Yeah, I just bought four Madonna tix, so that set me back $270 today. But I remember paying almost $100 apiece for Prince at the Aragon Ballroom a few years back when Chaka and company were there. Not saying it wasn't worth it since it was Prince, but man...I'd rather see Prince TWICE in cheaper seats than see him once in decent seats (unless it was in the first few rows...LOL...then all bets are off!)

Well, I spent $180 for some nose bleed seats to Madonna's Re-Invention Tour. It was worth it though, she put on a helluva show.

Oh i'm not saying that $55 is bad but United Center is huge compared to Aragon Ballroom. Can you really see that much from the top of the United Center?

i bought lower level tix for madonna for $165 and I am so furious she charges so much. It really is ridiculous and alienates so many people. I havent seen her live since 91 because the prices have always outraged me, but I love her new album a lot so I figured I would get 2nd tier tickets.....

i wouldnt pay the $$$ she charges to see anyone but Prince.....but I would be pissed off if he charged that much too.

He saves the best seats for HIS REAL FANS where Madonna just wants the cash and the elitists up front.....Enjoy having the yuppies in your first 15 rows Madge!

As much as I love and respect Madonna, she tends to eark me when she tours. For one thing, she never comes to Texas(where I live), and she could lower the ticket prices a bit

I mean, granted, I could probably understand with production costs and what not, but those are some expensive ass tix

Still, if she were to come to Texas, I'd go either way

That's why she won't lower the price.

So, looks like the same price structure as 2004. Wonder if Prince could sell out an arena tour at those ticket prices? hmmm In 2004, I figured his relatively low ticket prices (esp. when compared to Madonna!) helped him sell all those tickets! I couldn't have gone to multiple shows at $300 a pop, that's for sure! disbelief

I got tix this morning for United Center for $95. I'm glad I was actually able to get tix. In 2004, they were all sold out much quicker and never got the chance to see the Reinvention Tour. However, I really love her new album and looking forward to this one!! I haven't seen her since the Blond Ambition tour in 1990. That was amazing!!

According to today's ny daily news, madge's tickets are over $300.

Her tickets come in four price ranges:

$55
$95
$160
$350

At least, these are the prices for the show she's doing in my area.

Perhaps, but let's not single Madonna out. She's not the only artist who charges a fortune to see her.The Rolling Stones charge over $300 for the best seats at their shows, and it costs even more to see Barbra Stresiand these days.Let's face it people, concerts are not cheap anymore.

AND, for some of the seats, it cost MORE to see prince in australia! whatever, man...she's a machine and well oiled at that. i'll pay to see her - and i think she earns her cash (from other people, mind you, cuz i don't put that kind of money anywhere else but clothes and rent) - but i have my limits as to how much money i'll give a millionaire. that goes for vadge, prince, and anyone else who could pay off my student loans without knowing the money was ever gone. lol
