SOAG never should have been a single lol

Funny you say that... it's one of my least favorite, but an acquaintence of mine told me today that he used to really like that SOAG remix and I sent it to him.

The Route 80 Mix was originally supposed to be used for the video, but the released version has the P. Diddy (ill) Remix on it. There is a rough cut with the original mix on it.

I was ROTFL over this analysis of the When We Oooo lyrics. Someone wanted to know WHO the song was about. Some user named warmvanillasuga replied:

"no it was about that butch dyke... whats her name? oh god, brain fart... WHATS HER NAME!? shawnette!!! yes, thats who its about, go relisten to it... its sooooo butch dyke love making"

Someone mentions that Shawnette does not have the proper "equipment". warmvanillasuga replies:

"ummm... shawn DOES have it...its called a strap on. And come on... janet aint all strick-dick. What else would be the reason for such an abrupt end to there friendship? DUH! Janet broke her heart, she got dick twisted when she met jd... shawn drops the all for you scene... never to be seen again. let me translate the song for u....

hello my love (shawnette)
wish u were here (inside of me with your strap on)
so many things in my heart id like to share (but i cant cuz i love puss and dick)
a few warm thoughts (like me goin down on u)
a suddle smile (when u go down on me)
our conversation through silence could last all nite (no need to speak, im a girl, your a girl... thats how i KNOW what u want)
at ease my mind (cuz u get me off like rene never did)
to see your face
those sexy eyes could calm a heart of rage (girls have sexy eyes)
you speak my name (Shawn says in Making of If WHATS MY NAME, NOW SAY IT)
I touch your (clit ring)
the chemestry only true love can understand (true love like rene or james didnt have)
youve opened my soul to happiness (sounds... dykish)
and shown me new ways to love (new ways of love, like instead of str8 love... GAY LOVE)
smooth is lifes travels with you beside me, ill never walk alone. (dyke)
Cant get enough of you (cuz i never had pussy til now)
You give of you, all you can give. You tought love, laugh, you taught me to live. (Give it up to the strap on)
at rainbows end (rainbows end = end of janet and rene)
that pot of gold (shawns piece of heaven in between her legs)
When lovins done, the passions still strong, cuz spiritually we are one (COMEON!! When was the last time a guy fucked u over and then held u long time!? thats SUCH a girl thing)

And lastly, when u play the song backwards, u hear shawnettes name, heres a clip."

I have never been able to listen to the song again without laughing. Give it up for the strap on.

This is weak. Even you must know you're being disingenuous there. Do you believe the songs were about him or not? If you say no then I'm sorry but you're lying through your teeth.

Sweetie, let me make it ULTRA CLEAR for you, because I'm getting real tired of clarifying things:

1. You said: "Oh, please. I've heard her slagging him off in more than one interview."

2. Then I said no, I hadn't ever seen her do that.

3. Then you said but what about all the negative comemnts in the songs!

4. Then I said how the fuck does that equate to "slagging him off in more than one interview"?

.

This is typical of the very sly distortions you've been guilty of throughout this thread. You'd make a great politican. If you take slagging off to mean saying, "That son of a bitch, I hope he rots in hell!", then no she hasn't slagged him off. If you take it more reasonably to mean making subtly worded comments which leave one with a distinctly negative impression then she certainly has. If I've read them(which I have) then I find it hard to believe that an obsessive like your self hasn't.
As for the comments on the songs. Again, you have a self serving pedanticness
only a lawyer could rival. THE POINT IS they contained very negative comments heard by millions, many of whom knew full well they were about him. You typically tried to fudge the issue by saying "She didn't use Rene's name".
wonder505 has already called you up on your distorted account of Rhythm Nation's genesis. There have been a lot of other distortions that have been so subtle others might not have noticed but I have. I let them slide because unlike you I'm not inclined to do the kind of anal point by point breakdowns you're so compelled to do in order to protect your fragile ego, and yes I did say ego, as evidenced at the start of this when you hilariously thought I was referring to you when I said about no one responding to my post; lol. Even going so far as to tell me to send you an orgnote when I wanted you to respond. falloff There are words for such pomposity but I'll spare your blushes.

falloff Thanks for the novel thumbs up! We should have just agreed to disagree pages ago and saved ourself the bullshit, don't you think?

"There have been a lot of other distortions that have been so subtle others might not have noticed but I have." WTF? falloff It's called having a different opinion about Rene than you. I guess I'm "guilty" of that, yup.

Okayyyyy, next thread.

The basis of my Rene comments (and I could be wrong, just as I could be right) are quotes they've both made and, for me, the undeniable dip in quality of her songwriting after TVR. But here's where we can't have a mature discussion because you don't even realise there's been a dip. The fact that you're a daily visitor to Janet boards and are up on all the fan gossip tells me that you're not going to be very objective about this or have any mature musical judgement. Obsessives rarely do. There are MJ fans who can tell you every award he ever won and every chart statistic and yet still haven't figured out that he's gay.

I won't be responding to any replies you may wish to make for the simple reason that I don't respect you enough. How can I respect someone who thinks Damita Jo is a good album, who complains about the lack of songcraft in the modern pop climate then says how great Pink's songs are , who says how crap Madonna is then praises Janet and Kylie? I'm sorry. You're very articulate, but your musical judgement is appalling. I doubt very much I would be talking to you in the real world so I won't be doing so in cyberspace either.

You're right. We can't have a discussion because I disagree with you. Very mature, indeed.
