Bad, bad television. Do not watch it. What you're witnessing here is the manufacturing of "musical" acts, ala Backstreet, N'Sync, Christina and on and on and on and on...only now you get to WATCH it. if they turned this into some type of "Battle of the Bands" or "Cutting Heads" competition, I maight be able to stomach it.
Run. StarSearch 2002. GongShow2k2. Crap. And I could care less about Paula Abdul either. Obviously, she needs a career, that's why she's there.

well I hate to be the voice of reason here BUT
a. you don't have to know HOW to sing in order to recognize if someone can sing. how many of you in here cannot sing and always have your 2 cents on singers?? b. whether u like it or not, she did start the dance crave style that everyone uses today (janet's style) she did help janet with her ORIGINAL (at the time) choreography (everyone has that dance style now) c. she's been in the background laying low in show business writing songs for people like kyle minogue and doing choreography for major motion pictures, so she does have experience and knows what sells.

Yeah, the record industry is filled with less talented bulwinkles who like to think they're a good judge of talent (namely A&R guys) which is why if you find one of them still working at the same record company after 6 months they're doing pretty good. Who LOSES?
There is a trillion record labels.. 65% are fake "kinko's" type labels..( get business cards.. no distribution.. nothing else! But your a "record label") BUT all these people are going to get a deal.. sh*t Corey feldman has a record deal with distribution??? but for the TV show Kelly MUST win!! NO CONTEST.. justin has one range.. he can "talk sing" and can't go high or low really.. he is such a fake Al B Sure/ Maxwell.. everyone can put out 1 album.. but who buys 2 & 3 is there a huge demand for "O Town" & "Eden's Crush" in 2003? NOPE. I really think if you went on the show and actually played and instrument.. they would vote you off.. These types of A & R Guys / Producers ONLY WANT people with NO talent at all.. so they can take all the credit and MOST of the profits. Fact: Nsync made $300 Million in one year (tour, merch, record, ect.) each singing member made $900,000 of that.. thats what these types of guys want.. A good looking moron that has enough talent to barely sing in the studio no where live.. completely created in the recording studio.. who all there going to get out of this is a EGO Stroke "hey look at me.. look at me " Type Person( because they aint going to make much in the bank or a future)
