I'm listening to MG now and it IS better than her debut. Fine! More growth and feeling. Better vibe, better grit, better jazziness and her voice is better on this pffering than on baduizm.

Mama's gun is funky as hell. But its not better than Baduizm. Its better than her last release, but not better than the first. IMHO.

Don't see her appeal at all

Mama's Gun is like Erykah's manifesto, muscially and lyrically... it never goes out of rotation for me. Right now I'm feeling the opening track "Penitentiary Philosophy" more than ever. But "Kiss Me on My Neck" is still my all time fave Badu jam.

I can't remember the last time I played "Baduizm" all the way through. No comparison.
