Damn! Almost TOO MUCH like Micheal. But this song was the jam back then. Mic also bit off of Prince a few years later in a video. He was riding a motorcycle and had the "Purple rain" hairdo wearing a huge cross.

I'm gonna have to check Ebay for a greatest hits on The System. They had some tight jams.

I love this song but the video...is hil-ar-i-ous. Someone needs to start a thread of all the people that were not just inspired by Michael but wanted to be him.

You can take the "Almost" out.

Didn't even see your post...but that one just screams at you. Wonder how these people feel seeing this footage now that the smoke of Michael frenzy has cleared.

Love The System.I saw them live @ Bogart's for the Don't Disturb This Groove Tour.
"In My System"I actually like Robert Palmer's version better. The drums were tighter.

Robert Palmer actually stole that song and recorded his version before Mic and Dave had it copyrighted...I never had any respect for him after that...his version was a weak imitation...he didn't have to soul that Mic put into it.

The vid looks cheap because they paid out of pocket for it after the song blew up overnight (and before any royalties) and they had to get something out quick to beat Robert Palmer's version.

My thoughts too highfive , i'd like to have that gear in my studio .
And imo some of that vintage 80's fashion from keyboardist David Frank pops up again in groups like The Vines or The Infadels .
That spacelike tunnel in which Mic is standing is cool ... i believe to have seen a sorta same tunnel in the Girl6 movie .

Unfortunately , nothing to see about it here anymore disbelief

It's not about it looking cheap. I like the video. The funny part was Mic doing Michael...that one pose on the street corner, especially.
