hmm, how intriguing. only yesterday i was fooling around on the org... and noticed there was a user called "eileen" online. my first thought was that it was eileen murton. the user profile revealed nothing, save that this user has never posted. i meant to orgNote and ask if she was indeed EM, but somehow i got distracted.

hmmm...

now, on a similar tip- ANDY NIXON, if you are reading this, get in touch..

Where is Diana Dawkins of the Prince Family? After the lawsuits in 1999,she shut down her web site and newsletter.I wonder if she ever forgave Prince? smile

SOME of us miss them. They were very special people who took a lot of shit to bring information to Prince fans back before the Internet became popular...

If someone does have contact with them - I would like to send a warm hello...just tell um, Virginia from Hawaii sends her love.

hmmm... it was a light hearted comment about a person (Eileen) who i thought did a tremendous job risking bankrupcy to bring us information about Prince. In the end she got the official seal of approval from Prince himself and she played a major role in creating a Prince/music loving community.

I do not want 2 invade her personal life... if she visits the .org I would just like 2 say hi!

So kindly keep your misguided, sugary, pretentious 'let's say the right thing' attitude 2 yourself!!!

asshole!

I'm sure they visit the org and probably have been answering us. Where is Linda Everett the N.Y. rep for Controversy. I think all of these ladies are living their lives and maybe still fans. I wish them well cause they brought us a Great magazine, Great information and pictures. It was really fun for us kids. Still I'm looking for issue 18! Eileen was really on top of all of the information. Those were fun days for sure.

Eye have heard many tid-bits of stories about what actually happened between Prince and Eileen's brilliant pre-internet era publication that brought Conventions and Batman Bandwagonners all over the world through the gun toting Diamond and Pearl days on until the final issue prior 2 the name change. But out of sincere respect 4 Eileen, we should leave it up 2 her 2 decide when she wants 2 disclose her post-controversy opinions and revelations.

Eileen's Controversy and Grafitti section were responsible 4 me meeting 7 of the most wonderful people i've ever met in the world. Eye still have all the issues if anyone is interested ICQ 7779311 and when Heavenly and eye finish our ongoing projects we might start up the website again.

She was/is a fine editor.. alot of time, sweat, patience and careful attention went into every info-packed page. She kept a great international ballance throughout each tour in Europe while the US music lovers were starving. But "where in Croydon" is she now? I hope she is rewarded with 100x the joy and happiness that she brought 2 me and many others eye know.

Even Controversy members who read the finer-inside editors notes from Eileen in each issue would know that she had a great gift at "warming the pages" and often added flavor 2 the creation process by expressing her distaste 4 new confusing technology. Therefore eye doubt but wonder if she ever popped into the org or the internet 4 that matter. The last source close 2 her used 2 write 4 "the Emancipation project" back in 1997. I bet she still gets mail from the empire she built.

Do any of you remember those late 80s-early 90s Prince fanzines? Some of them were great and some of them were horrible.I have a 1991 issue of a fanzine called "Prince Thang",anyone remember that one?

I do David and there was an NPG magazine from Prince remember? Originally Prince's 1st Fan-Club was to be called THE NEW BREED.
