50 are u serious?

from novaslim.com/da_fuck

its kinda old but i dont remember seein it here so...from the mouth of 50!

"A lot of the music that comes out of the South is kind of simplified and I think it's kinda 'cause they just wanna have a good time," he explained. "They don't wanna think about what [they] just said. ... They really didn't make sense, but they made sense in a way and they just wanna hear something while they're actually partying and it works for them. But when they don't take the time to make it the highest quality possible, it hurts the actual hip-hop [genre]. People wanna make music they can get away with as opposed to the best possible music they can make.
What did you just say? Dude, you are seriously making my head spin.

"They'll lower the grade of music," he continued. "It changes the range you can go and then it causes confusion amongst artists that don't have their own direction at that point and they all start making music that is similar. Like if the record comes out and it's a hit and it's the simplest thing on the planet, all of a sudden the new artists start writing records that are similar to that hit. Their motivation is to have a project that's successful and that will allow them to move out of the financial situations that they're in when you're in the 'hood or in the ghetto. They make it sound like the record that they hear playin' on the radio as opposed to just creating their own lane."

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

He's was just trying to say how the music in the south is not very creative, and very simplified, like Laffy Taffy and the Ying Yang twins. And I think at the same time, he didnt want to offend anyone so he was sort of stumbling on his words and not making any sense, but I would rather hear someone like Nas or Kayne West talk about good hip-hop, not 50 LOL lol

if 50 could actually read what he was saying, then if he had the least bit of sense, he would know that his music falls right into the category he is complaining about....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

He got a point. Ever since the South came up then EVERYBODY wanna make a song that sounds like it was made with 2 drum tracks and one key chord progreesions and synth...from Master P to Cash Money to Lil John to Kelis' new single ill

No bass, no phat snares.....gone. Im glad producers like Timbaland, Kanye, Just Blaze arent going in the same route 'just cause it's hot'

I understand him.

So he's basically jumpin' on Ghostface's train. Cuz GHOSTFACE was the one to take NYC totask for that s**t FIRST, NOT 50!!!!! Ghost even has the balls to clown the South, NOT 50!!!!! So, Ghost has a point, and maybe 50 sees his point!!!!!

While he's speaking for people in The South, he needs to speak for either his damn self or the people that's in that so-called form of "music" that he's in.

Here in Mississippi during the 1980s, there were no all blues formatted stations in my area, there were strictly R&B stations that played a little blues that was currently being made by a few local artists on local record labels. For the most part, people listened to mainly mainstream R&B back then.

An all blues formatted radio station popped up in 1985. For a few years, not many people knew about or listened to it. When the 1990s rolled around and hip hop completely took over the R&B airwaves. More and more people switched over to this blues station. Throughout the years, two or three more shortlived blues stations have come and gone but now there is a huge following of that original blues station. Probably about 90% of the songs played are from the local artists. Most people over 35 listen to either that station or the "soft soul" R&B station. The "soft soul" station used to be a mainstream R&B station but switched formats after hip hop took over. Their slogan is still to this day..."all soft soul and no rap". The other R&B station from back in the day is still on the air and plays current mainstream R&B and hip hop. It is known for being the "kid's station".

While 50 Cent is talking his shit that we don't "create our own lane", he needs to come down here and look at the stations that were created so that people don't have to listen to shit like he and his fellow "artists" make. Even though most blues is not my taste or cup of tea, I applaud these people for "creating their own lane" and most of them have never heard of 50 Cent, Half Dollar, or whatever the hell his name is.
