hey who's down with Simply Red?

wave

I love me some Simply Red!!!

I had gotten his greatest hits album and was surprised at some of the songs that I had forgotten about songs that I had never heard before....

1. Holding Back the Years
2. Money's Too Tight (To Mention)
3. The Right Thing
4. It's Only Love
5. A New Flame
6. You've Got It
7. If You Don't Know Me by Now
8. Stars
9. Something Got Me Started
10. Thrill Me
11. Your Mirror
12. For Your Babies
13. So Beautiful
14. Angel
15. Fairground

I love when he sings, it feels like he has put his all into it.....thumbs up!
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I think people have trouble liking them based on the way Mick looks, his a soulfull singer, blue eyed soul, kind of like Thicke

I love Simply Red. I never liked them as a child, but I love the now.

Well, based on the way he looks I think it's fair enough not to like them. But thanks for bringing up that factor anyway.

I LOVE that song "You've Got It"...it makes me feel all female and seductive and stuff sexy...

..and then when I'm feeling all dramatic and depressed about love I like to blast "Maybe Someday" cool

aw shucks...the more I think about these two songs the more I think it's about time to pay a trip over to iTunes for a minute smile

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Simply Red's original music but some of the ones that have been remixed into House Music are GENIUS!!!!

I Want To Look Into Your Eyes
Home (remixed by an acquaintance of mine, David Harness)

CLASSICS!!!

What a voice. Too bad he's only been touring in the U.K.

'Holding Back the Years' is a good song, well done.

Virtually all the rest imo is baaad - and that ain't good. biggrin

Mick Hucknall imo is to soul what UB40 are to reggae. Not very nice.

Their early stuff was pretty good..you know right up to the stars album then it was downhill big time. Didn't he ditch the band he had. Anyway Simply Red then turned into muzak for middle class couples to play at parties whilst snorting coke.
