It's considered a "fan favorite". Not exactly a critical favorite.

I think Savage is overrated among fans and underrated among critics.


As I mentioned before, I really think fans considered it a return to thier electronic roots. I think fans liked and appreciated the two preceeding, but considered this to be better than those two.

Also it is a concept album and those, when done correctly, will have more resonance than the others.

I agree with all that. I think it's better than Be Yourself Tonight, Revenge or We Too Are One.
