Battle Of The Day: Whitney Houston vs. Today's R&B & Hip Hop Artists

Two things I absolutely can't stand in music is Shitney Houston and today's R&B and hip hop artists. That gave me an idea for a battle of the day. As much as I can't stand Shitney, she kicks the hell out the current artists' asses.

Her weak, watered down, uptempo pop songs like "How Will I Know" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" got played every now and then on club dance floors. When you go to clubs today, in a lot of them, midtempo hip hop dominates the dance floors. If you make a comparison to today's shit hop and R&B compared to Shitney Houston's watered down R&B for pop, Shitney's is far more stronger, uptempo, and funky. That just goes to show that today's music is a damn shame and has reached an all time low.

Which do you think is better, Whitney Houston or today's current artists?

falloff It's really me. Play "How Will I Know" in the middle of a bunch of today's current songs. They make her sound funky as hell in comparison. Like the old phrase goes..."If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all"....I figured I'd give Miss Goodie Two Shoes a compliment today. evillol

Andy, admit it...you wanna fuck Whitney. You're obsessed with the woman. Just pretend her pipe's a jimmy and get down on it.

lol I never pretend during sex. Being with her and pretending would be like sex with a drag queen which is something I definately don't do. I don't play sports either because I don't like fake balls. Give me the real ones or nothing at all. lol

I have to go Whitney on this one. Even though I am more of a casual fan, I will listened to her worst albums over todays so-called r&b and hip hop.

Personally , uptempos like How Will I Know or I Wanna Dance ... were never my cup-a-tea ... 2 happy preppy 4 me .
Though i liked 2 duets of her first album : Hold Me ( with Teddy Pendergrass ) and Take Good Care Of My Heart ( with Jermaine Jackson / and there's a fine sax-solo in that track too ) .... still 2 sweet picks but more a vibe i could handle .

What impressed me too , was her appearance on Live Aid back in the 80's .
She was planned for the evening scheldue , was nearly just arrived at the festival and sounded crystal clear from the start of her show ...

As for 2day's R&B ... i guess this is gonna be a neverending discussion .
All i wanna add is that there's some excellent quality urban soul out there .
But you'll strand sooner if you keep following the mainstream commercial charts .
With 2day's technology we have no idea what reach we have for unknown acts on the web from which there is as much crap as hidden treasures .
But one must be willing to explore : www.cdbaby.com / www.myspace.com
.
