she did all that on purpose, she was making fun of all that stuff.

At first, I thought so, too. Then I saw the INTUITION leg razor ad and "FOLLOW YOUR HEART, YOUR INTUITION" was playing in the background, and I knew she was full of shit.

I liked "Intuition" I personally don't care about the reasons behind it...

No, she was serious. She admitted it on one of those entertainment shows. She said her record sales had dropped and she was desperate to regain her sales so she tried to go "glam" but to no avail.

The words to the song she meant, follow your intuition BUT the video is the opposite, she is, as has stated that it is a play on all that right now.

who knows?

remember when she released that ultra pop album a few years ago? what a joke and flop! did any of you actually buy into that? what's up with her now anyway, seems like she fell off....

I thought that album was a big hit for her confuse

The song "Intuition" was huge, wasn't it? In any case, she has just released a new album,a return to her usual sound.

I heard her mention that in an interview, too; the video was supposed to be satirical...but I guess they must have made her look a little TOO hot, because I remember it backfiring in that a lot of her fans didn't catch the joke and they thought she was selling out to become a razzle dazzle booty shaker.

I actualy liked the record by Jewel as well, I'd never liked any of her previous folky stuff; I found it boring.
I think she should be commended for trying something different. Most artists make the same type of record over and over again, because when someone does something different from the type of music they're known for the press and their fans turn on them and attack them for selling out or some other silly reason.

I agree.I never liked any of her bland, folky stuff. For her,a song like "Intuition" was a nice change of pace.Too many artists make the same album over and over again.Too bad she's gone back to her same, dull folk/pop music.

The album made a big splash on the charts initially (#2), but sales-wise continued her downward trend and was never even certified platinum. I just looked at the RIAA site and was shocked to see that Jewel's first album 'Pieces Of You' was recently certified for 12 million copies! I never knew it was that big.
