yeah because in the US, Bobby achieved a reign in music where most black musicians never achieve or able to get to for whatever reason, from 88 - 93 he was the biggest thing in rnb/pop and every rnb/pop work was compared to his work.

Bobby was so hot that even Prince bit off him a little, with the New Power Generation song, and then the video of New Power Generation looked so much like the video of My Prerogative.

Bobby's problem was he was an idol to million of girls, and he got married to WHitney Houston which basically alieneted the majority of his fanbase, so when his Bobby Lp cameout he only sold 4x platinum rather than the diamond, his Dont Be Cruel, and since Whitney was content with taking care of him, bobby slacked off musically and when he cameout with the FOrever LP in 97, it flopped because compared to his prior works it wasnt in the same league.

Okay what's with this Tyra woman..

I only knwo her as a model..she doesn't come across as a host..
She has the Beyonce syndrome..stunningly beautiful
but once she starts talking ur dissapointed..

I don't get her either. One minute, she's on Americas Next Top Model, being totally vain, ripping the women to shreds about how they look, next minute she's on her own talk show trying to act the exact opposite, and be all "I'm real, and women should love themselves for who they are" etc...

What's wrong with y'all? That was not a good performance! Especially when they layered his rusty, crack-dusted old man voice with the younger, better sounding pot laced Bobby voice. And who put together that medley? Little Antoine around the corner, down the street?

falloff

For all those who don't remember, Bobby actually WAS the shit for a minute back in the day. nod And believe it or not, Paula Abdul had her time too falloff Can't speak for Tiffany though - she seemed popular for a milisecond compared to these two giggle It's now about what's deserved, it's about what actually was popular. Bobby was EVERYWHERE during that "Roni/Every Little Step/My Prerogative" period, believe it...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

That's how the fashion-world works .
Models are trained there to handle the harsh shark comments about their looks .

shrug
Tv has it's etiquettes when it comes to Ophrah-kinda shows which is clearly visible in that BBrown-show .
It's kinda plastic , i know , but that's how it works i guess .
Not shure if people have the same feeling when they're watching Leno or Letterman .
I always felt there was honesty and "down to earth" shown in the morning-shows from Larry King .

Fauxie

Man, I used to love the Don't Be Cruel album back in the summers of '88 and '89. If I were to hear those tracks now it'd take me back to family holidays driving around France singing my heart out in the back of the car. touched

I recall loving 'On Our Own' too.

I think I have the 'Bobby' album on tape somewhere too. 'Humpin' Around' wasn't bad either. There was one other track I liked too, 'Good Enough'?
