Paris is the best vocalist amongst the AI top 10.If she keeps growing as an artist, she will do well.

We have will young. Same sorta thing (different image and music though). Point is, both came from the first series of idol, and both have garneredrespect from most haters for either their songs or voices. I dont think will would work in USA. U gotta be either rock or rnb/hiphop to hit it over there. Too narrow minded.

We don't have any control over it, after all.

Carrie Underwood might have a decent career in the Country market.

CynicKill

I guess it goes without saying that since she is the first American Idol, that Kelly Clarkson should be the most successful. But my fave is Fantasia in all her oversinging glory. It's the white audience that could care less about her, despite the fact that R&B radio was spinning about 4 songs from her at the same time. Plus I think soundscan has her at double platinum plus AND her duet "Hypothetically" with LIFE was fire.

Just because she isn't all over adult contemporary stations doesn't mean she hasn't done anything since AI.

As for what little I have seen of AI this year, I was thinking that it would be a final three with this Paris girl, the rocker and the guy that was in the bottom 2 tonight, but in typical AI fashion they've ruined any chances of a strong final battle.

I ain't no huge AI fan (I catch it when I can catch it...)....But that Paris chick was alright...She has a voice that she can work off on....And that Ruben dude, the last blurb aI read about him is that he had a double platinum debut...I think he's doing alright.....

It's sad to see her go; but I didn't want Elliott to go either. I'm rooting for him to be the next American Idol!!
