I have to go with Full Force. I love the stuff they did for Samantha Fox and Lisa Lisa. They had some funky jams. As far as the best curl....hmmm Maybe ready for the curl!

As far as production, I give it to Full Force. They had an EMPIRE of artists other than themselves (Lisa Lisa, Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley, UTFO, and Samantha Fox). AND they managed to stay relevant behind the scenes writing for N-SYNC and the Backstreet Boys. As much as I love RFTW, no one really cared after "Ruff N Ready (1988)'. Concert-wise, I've seen 'em BOTH. Full Force was good (Fresh Fest '86-Buffalo, NY). But NO ONE wanted to see Paul Anthony strip down to his drawz!!!!! My friend & I drove from Buffalo to Toronto to see RFTW, and they RIPPED SHIT UP LIVE!!!!! The only downside was Gordon Strozier (Guitarist) sitting on his ass during "Love You Down". Live, I give the edge to RFTW!!!!!

I still love Full Force after all these years. I was crazy about them and anything/anyone they produced in the 80's, and I still enjoy digging out a lot of their old productions. There aren't many groups I've ever enjoyed more than Full Force. I used to love the remixes of their songs where "Bow Legged Lou" would talk silly through them. I remember thinking he had the sexiest voice.

this is a tough one.Both bands released some great music in the mid-80s.

As for my opinion, Full Force were more talented, but Ready For The World had better songs for themselves. Full Force's best jams were the ones they produced for other people. My vote goes to Full Force.

Ya know what? I saw Full Force live when they opened for Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam in 1988 and there were definitely some women screaming their asses off for them. Maybe it's because the show was in NY and being from Brooklyn, it was sort of a hometown crowd.
