Angie Stone did a kick-ass gig yesterday! I was at the Stockholm Jazz festival last night, for the soul night... Angie kicked ASS I'm telling you, she was having fun with the crowd and putting on a soulful (no pun intended) performance. The only downside IMO was the little sermon where she was rambling about that everything she does os for Christ, at that point I felt a little  Other than that she was sooo good, not to mention Blacknuss All Stars... I had a great time and if u haven't checked out Blacknuss' music, do it ASAP!

She is ACE, she really gets the audience involved, she is such a cutie, her voice was/is so powerful it is spine tingling, she really brought tears to my eyes. Everyone (the audience) was brought together - I love her CDs but didn't quite know what to expect at her gig and yes, she ROCKS!!! Angie is THE BOMB. Its a shame that she broke up wit D'Angelo, they make an alright couple not to mention they WROTE some beautiful breath-taking music 2ghether. I have her both CDs and they're KILLERS, I just hope she release a new KILLER CD soon.
BTW Am I the only one who DIG the song 'You make my sunshine'?? I can't get enough of it. Thats her BEST duet 'DUH'  ! | |

Calvin Richardson had an ignored solo album called "Country Boy". He used to sing in quartet with Dave Hollister and K-Ci & Jo Jo as a youth. He is/was Angie's new man, just read the liner notes, she needed new soulful toyboy to fill the void. hehehe | |
