U2's "Bad"

Quite possibly a canidate for one of their greatest songs,
One of my band mates let me hear it a month ago, because we were looking for covers to fill up our setlist.
When i heard it i was mezmerized
we played a cover at a Gig tonight and the crowd just leaped at their feet
i dunno what's about it, musically perfect
from Edges Delay, to Bono's Vocals and incredible lyrics, Daniel Lanois production. Perfection....
A timeless Classic that can never get dated!

That's the one "if you twist and turn away" right?
It's definitely one of the best U2 songs

I'm wide awake
I'm wide awake
Wide awake
I'm not sleeping
Oh no

music

If you really want to experience 'Bad', you have to hear it live. If anyone needs evidence that U2 is the ultimate live act of our time, all they have to do is sit in on a concert where they perform 'Bad', and if they still disagree, then they're both deaf and emotionless. The heartache, despair, and hope that Bono and the boys manage to impart on this song 20+ years later show that even if their well has creatively run dry (which I don't believe to be true), they still can do the business in a concert setting.

This desparation
Dislocation
Separation
Condemnation
Revelation
In temptation
Isolation
Desolation

Let it go
And so fade away
To let it go, oh yeah
And so fade away
To let it go, oh No
And so to fade away
I'm wide awake
I'm wide awake
Wide awake
I'm not sleeping oh no no
I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

If you haven't heard it live, then you haven't heard it.

The version at Live Aid was great.
