Apparently,Tip has produced his guitarists' latest Verve jazz cd.

I remember that interview, although it shows how long ago "Open" was supposed to come out...

"Open" does have some slammin' cuts on it--but I hope the new "Live at the Renaissance" doesn't suffer the same fate as "Open" and "Kamaal The Abstract"--I can't believe he's having such a hard time, IMO most of his new stuff is head and shoulders above most 'o these Clowns out here...

Yup, he did produce Kurt Rosenwinkel's 2003 album, "Heartcore"..Kurt's put out a couple more albums since then, but yeah, they're all pretty adventurous jazz guitar albums --he's regarded as one of the more original guitarists out there now....I hope he and Tip continue to work together!
