Prince
U2 Pathetic I know lol , but I'd need to really really love an artist to want to see them live ( ie Prince ) or really like the album theyre touring with (ie Achtung Baby , one of my top 3 favourite non-Prince albums ) Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :

Plus your reasons are the same as mine. I saw U2 because my friend got 2 tickets for the show last year and I liked How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb so it was great. Prince, was and still is a must see event . I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I will go to a concert of someone even i'm just a remote fan...i live for concerts. seeing people dressed up, excited, hitting up the bar, when the lights go out a second before the artist comes onstage, the drama, anticipating the setlist...there isn't much i'd rather do than go to a good show. maybe get fucked really good. Most of these shows took place at least ten years ago. I stopped going to gigs regularly around that time, partly because I’d damaged my hearing, partly because I was starting to feel a little old and tired.
Bob Dylan The Wailers with Junior Murvin Prince George Michael John Cale Alice Cooper Motorhead Bowie Paul McCartney Chris Spedding Jazz Butcher Gwar The Selector Flock of Seagulls Tom Verlaine & The Church Robyn Hitchcock Billy Bragg & the Beatnigs Alejandro Escovedo NRBQ Skinny Puppy and Severed Heads Burning Spear The Hold Steady Depeche Mode & Nitzer Ebb (dragged to that one by a friend - I liked Nitzer Ebb though) Lollapalooza 92 (Ministry, Jesus and Mary Chain and some other bands I didn’t care for) Arcade Fire & Wolf Parade (bombastic wankers – I needed to see this show to realize how much I hate this band) That Petrol Emotion Bo Diddley Sonny Rollins Metric Brian Ferry Neko Case Echo & the Bunnymen The Neville Brothers Rodney Crowell Merle Haggard Lyle Lovett Pavement (worst show I’ve ever seen – I’ve seen high school talent show acts perform tighter sets) Autechre Richard Hawtin U2 Iris Dement Neil Young The Flatlanders The Blasters Alice Donut Ron Sexsmith ...and about a million club acts, most of whom I can only vaguely remember. Off the most famous ones:
Prince Michael Jackson James Brown Joe Cocker Maceo Parker Would looooove to see SADE! "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

1983:
Sho-Nuff (local group and they performed at a skating rink for a school function) 1985: Klymaxx Con-funk-shun The Barkays Dynamic Breakers The Fat Boys Whodini Run DMC Doug E. Fresh Morris Day New Edition The Real Roxanne (She performed at a skating rink ) 1997: Prince The Time 1999: Con-funk-shun (Tom Joyner Morning Show) Freedom J. Blackfoot The Barkays 2000: The SOS Band The Barkays 2001: The Time Lakeside The Barkays The Time (second time that year) 2002: Luther Vandross 2004: The Isley Brothers Prince 2005: The Barkays I think that's all of them. I never got to go to any full-fledged concerts until I graduated high school in 1985 and by that time, music was first starting to become fucked up. I would have loved to have gone to concerts from 1980-1984. During that period the Prince and Rick James tour came to Jackson. Rick also came back almost every year. Shalamar, The Whispers, and Lakeside seemed to come every summer. Roger and Zapp, Bill Summers and Summers Heat, Sun, Frankie Smith, Kleeer, The Gap Band also came during this era. By 1985, most of the concerts that came to my area were slow solo singers like Shitney Houston. I missed out on the real fun a few years earlier. . . I've seen dozens of local bands, underground bands... but not really someone famous/popular. Too expensive!
TM Stevens was the "most popular" I can think of now. I was damn near to see Mark Knopfler live some years ago, but before he started the tour, he broke some ribs in a motorcycle accident.
