Any T-Rex fans?

Quick question:

WHy didn't Mark Bolan get the same hype as David Bowie? BY all accounts the music was good (sometimes great) pop/rock, but something was missing?

Also, what became of his (Bolan's) girlfriend after the accident?

whoknows

Because unlike Bowie he was never able to move forward artistically and was quite happy to repeat what he thought was a winning formula. His own producer grew exasperated with this before he did. He had star power to burn, but complacency did him in.

Correct! Tony Visconti mentioned many times begging Bolan to learn new chords, listen to different types of music. Bolan could not be bothered.
Still, he was great at what he did.
