The Tony Rich Project: Pictures

Alright people. The time has come once again. My boy Tony's new album is in stores now! Go get a copy 'cause it's hot! I had the pleasure of talking to Tony today. He's currently in California doing promo work for the album and he's doing well. A single for radio hasn't been chosen yet but I put my vote in for "Somethin' About U". The joint is serious and if you're tired of all the bullshit that's on the radio today I'm sure this will be a breath of fresh air for you. You can preview the song from his page at myspace.com. I apologize for not having the link but I'm sure y'all can find it with no problems right? Let's support a REAL musician who makes REAL music!!! Hopefully he'll get his second Grammy with this one!

You can also leave a message for him at http://launch.groups.yaho...chproject/ . Tell him what you think about the new album!!

Not unless something happened after I got off the phone with him.

awesome!! Thanks for posting this, I wasn't aware he had a new one out.

Tony is one of the most underrated artists in music, in my mind. His last album was fantastic. "Don't Call Me" is one of my favorite songs of the 2000's so far.

I love nobody knows. I got the album just for that track. Still, he is actually a clone of babyface though.

Hopefully, he's gotten rid of the Babyface tone and phrasing...Babyface is trying to also.

Call me crazy, but i can't listen to nobody Knows without hearing Prince's I Love U In Me in my head. The two songs are really close in melody structure.

It would be easy to see the "Babyface clone" thing when referring to "Nobody Knows". A lot said the same thing about Jon B. when his first album dropped. Listening to all albums by both artists starting with "Birdseye" by Tony and "Cool Relax" by Jon B. you can tell that the "clones" have morphed into their own even though Babyface productions have appeared on Jon B.'s albums and Tony has never worked with him at all.
