"I.O.U." by Freeeze

"A, E,....A,E,I,O,U....U....and sometimes Y".

This was a great jam. I tell ya, back in the day, we could throwdown just by using vowels. lol Anyone into this jam?

You're close. I think the first time I heard it was the summer of 83. They were mixing it with "Looking For The Perfect Beat" by Soul Sonic Force, which was old by then. lol

This was my favorite song for a few years in high school. The follow-up single "Pop Goes My Love" was also killer. John Rocca then went solo and released "I want It To Be Real" which is another classic.

As for the spelling part, I always get them mixed up with Kleeer which has three "e"s. "Freeze" is spelled in a different way also, I just can't remember how. Maybe they dropped the "e" at the end. biggrin

Yeah, that's it exactly.

Has anyone heard the full album? How was it?

I never knew they had an album. I thought they were strictly a 12 Inch group.

I saw the full album once or twice back in the day. The cover was simply their name 'Freeez' made out of ice. I never thought to take a chance on it.

Yes, I have it, great dance track. It sort of fits that whole early 80's breakdance vibe, Lisa Lisa's - I Wonder If I take U Home, also comes 2 mind.
