I thought they were over.....the peppers.....After Californication & By The Way I loathed them.....I couldn't take no more.....too much 'Under The Bridge'.
Now they're back and it feels like nostalgia!!!! Back is the funky guitar & bassline, good songs, good edgy solo's! Really, I'm surprised.....2 CD's, what I've heard sofar is good and I wanna hear more!

Probably their best since Blood Sugar Sex Magik.....(but not better!)

oh, I believe the album is not out til next week or so.....

I like the video for their song that's out now. I can't remember what it's called, but it's a good song too. I was shocked actually.

Is Stadium Arcadium the name of the album coming out? Or a song?

i should have posted a link to my local radio station when they broadcast the album premier from LA... it does sound good

i debated on this... someone convince me..

It is, from what I've heard. I'm not crazy about Dani California either but I've always liked the Chilis so I'm always gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. Plus this is a double album with 28 songs and then there's gonna be like 10 b-sides so there will be a lot to absorb.

It is a lot to absorb. After a few spins - not a fan, at all - I am pleasantly surprised at the consistent level
of songwriting. So far, I particularly like Charlie, 21st century, Strip my mind and Turn it again (peep the Funkadelic nod in the guitar).

That's what I said. There is alot to absorb. I'm sure favorites will change as I listen more often. Overall impression is it's a very strong album. Very consistent. Other than that, I have to listen a few more times.
BTW, I loved By the Way (no pun intended) and to this day, I'm still not crazy about Californication. And for the record, I'm a fan since the first album.

Since I first posted on this topic and with Dewrede, I've listened to Album 1 and it is good it's just a lot to absorb. Kinda overall mellow though, but that's been their modus operandi for the last 10 years. I like it though. Gotta listen more. And I want to really absorb album 1 before I move on to Album 2. Also they are separated as Album 1 is called Jupiter and Album 2 is called Mars. I may have that backwards.

I've listen to the album a few times now, and I like it. Its much more mellow than I expected, but it does suffer from being too long.

They aren't capable of enough different styles to carry off that many tracks in one go.

I think I'll be making a killer single CD version for the car.
