not to those who don't have any idea of what rolling stone was in the first decade. seems a pattern in my life that i get to come in right at the end of something's glory years, just long enough to see what it was like, right before it goes to crap. i remember being really young and RS being edgy for just a minute or two before tom cruise was on every other cover. rolleyes

Rolling Stone in the 80s was all about Jack Nicholson, Whoopi Goldberg, Tom Cruise, Michael J Fox, etc

I think it actually improved from the 80s into the 90s, at least coverwise.

" To hype National Graphics' capabilities to potential advertisers, Rolling Stone has distributed about 5,000 promotional samples showing a 3-D collage of more than 40 past covers including Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, John Belushi, J-Lo, Madonna,Prince, Dr. Dre, Michael Jackson and Bill Clinton. National Graphics also made 3-D business cards for the magazine's sales executives."

The link

It's 3-D and it does have Prince in there...it's just unreal that Bart Simpson is more prominent. Also...if there's a spot of purple on the 1000th issue...Prince should be wearing it.
