Top 10 Hall & Oates Songs Hall & Oates were a very good band, that could write some the catchiest
melodies I've ever heard. I'd rank them up there with the superstars of 80's such as MJ, Madonna, and Prince. The only reason they top Hall & Oates IMO is because they had stronger albums, but in terms of singles, IMO Hall & Oates are just as good. My top 10 songs of Hall & Oates are: 10. Do What You Want, Be What You Are 9. One on One 8. Private Eyes 7. Rich Girl 6. Everything Your Heart Desires 5. Maneater 4. You Make My Dreams 3. I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) 2. Your Imagination - should've been a bigger hit 1. Say It Isn't So What's U guys favorite Hall & Oates songs?

My favourite is You Make My Dreams, but special mention to Downtown Life, that song is so underrated. Kinda has a Duran Duran Notorious feel about the bassline but it's a way better song.

They, like The Cars, were huge in the 70's, but were even BIGGER in the 80's. They made that crucial transition into the 80's which MANY folks couldn't make. They not only stayed current, but led the way, all the while staying true to who they were. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

My stepfather, who sadly passed away, was a huge fan of Hall & Oates. One of their songs that I really love is 'Past Times Behind'.
