is it wrong to like mj for who he is and his music? cause if it is i am a freak so what i like mj's and prince's music very much. thanks for listening.

i like woody allen for his films and his comedy, i don't really care about his personal life nor do i consider him a role model. i try not to confuse the worth of an artist with the worth of their art.

well unless you know Michael Jackson personally, you can only like his work.

well the answer is...of course not. But it does a fan good to put thier "idol" in perspective. Meaning to understand and accept their shortcomings in thier personal life and music.

FOr instance, I like Madonna...a lot. There are many aspects and facets that fascinate me and that I love about her. But I won't go so far as to call her the greatest musician or song writer of our time...as many "blinded" fans might.

MJ is just a person like you and me. He is talented in singing and dancing and I thing he is putting his best effort in his music. He also has issues with Fame that make it hard for him to accept certain realites of life. These issues obviously have gotten him into serious trouble. ANd it will remain serious until he acknoledges some of it (half the battle) and does things to get over them. I think that as a true fan, one would need to own that about MJ.

Agreed i still think his problems are more complicated them we think.
