I like The Breeders, but I've left during their set at two separate performances! First during Lolllapolllooozzza 1994, cuz it was the hottest day ever and I could take no more. Then during their 2002 show at First Ave. I actually came for the opening act, Imperial Teen. Breeders were good, but couldn't get their act together and were taking 5 minutes or more between songs.

Too funny! Sabastian Bach is a fucking nutbag, but he's got some pipes. Apparently he's a drama queen, too - he was booted off the touring production of Jesus Crunk Superstar a few years ago.

I believe I was at that Lollapollooza. I'm not quite sure because everything up until last year is all a blur for me, but I'm almost positive that I passed out at that one from heat exhaustion. Or maybe it was the year before that. Did you see me? I was the girl that passed out in the juice line. I hope you didn't pass out from heat the year before - it was in the air-conditioned Civic Center (may it rest in peace ), cuz Harriet Island was flooded.

Although I wouldn't put it past me. I pass out just about anywhere. Having said that....still want to go to Alice Cooper? We will have to watch the Carpenter/Barbie movie when you're here. Either that, or I'll just give you a proper copy.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Hah! That'll make watching it even better. It's a notorious film bio of Karen Carpenter. Todd Haynes did it as a student project while he was in film school. Do you like his films? He did Safe, Velvet Goldmine, and Far From Heaven (one of my very favorite films). The Carpenter family was very angry about the film, because it was made with the Carpenters' music and without their permission. It's as much about The Carpenters as it is about the treatment of women in the bizz, body image and bad parenting. Essentially, it's the story of the Carpenters told with Barbie Dolls. It sounds campy and it is at times, but it's an earnest, moving film. It's available only as a bootleg, because her parents threatened to sue over it. He's never made a profit from the film, and didn't intend it as a moneymaker.
