Can Anyone Get Me Into Some Paul Simon? Ok, Paul Simon fans, I need some help in getting into some of his work. Today, I was listening to some of the material he did for his 1975 Grammy Award-Winning album, Still Crazy After All These Years and I absolutely love that warm-LA pop-jazz production of the album, which kinda reminded me of the production of Joni Mitchell's Court & Spark and Hissing OF Summer Lawns. I also liked the fact that some of the songs on this album had some tight songwriting and the best performances of Paul's career, IMHO. Can anyone get me into any of his work? Check me out and add me on:

YOU MUST GO TO THE RECORD STORE.
YOU MUST BUY THIS ALBUM. IT CAN BE ON RECORD OR ON CD, BUT RECORD SOUNDS THE BEST FOR THIS LP. PLAY IT AND YOU WILL PROBABLY AGREE IT IS ONE OF, IF NOT THE BEST ALBUM OF THE 80S!

If you like Still Crazy, I would recommend the compilation Love Songs & Negotiations.

i loved GRACELAND - but i have to say ... its the type of album (for me) that u hummm all over the place .... but i didnt fall in love with it on first listen...
i truly respected that album even more after i saw VH1's storytellers or whatever where they review classic albums and they had paul on to tell some of the story and how he came up with lyrics, etc ... i grew up with simon and garfunkel .... and kinda inheritated a liking to paul's writing ... i liked "rhythm of the saints" actually better than graceland ... "your the one" was an album that touched me alot also because it came out right after the birth of my first child .... and i think it has alot of lyrics which touch on that stuff ... paul being a dad and all (an old dad at that )
