Wu Tang, Wu-Tang!

These days I'm more exclusively a Ghostface fan.

Use to be. Their first album was great. Then there were excellent solo cds by method man, odb, and raekwon. Then, everything started sucking, imo.

I love the first two albums and the solo joints in between. All classics.

I love the Wu!!!! When they first came on the scene, they were nothing that hip hop had seen before. They had a style that so different than everybody else at the time...I use to be so in love with Method Man it was rediculous!!!

Release Yo Delf and Bring the Pain are classics. He was always my favorite, but I didn't like any of his outside wu-tang stuff except for his first solo cd. Except for How High--the song--that was good.

Groundbreaking crew that faded.

But the sum of its parts are definitely greater than the whole.

Ghostface: The most brilliant and undeniably the most consistent of the crew.

Method: The most charismatic, best voice and delivery of the crew, but a lazy lyricist. But "M.E.T.H.O.D. Man" and "Bring The Pain" are classics.

GZA: The most intelligent and cerebral of the crew, but since Liquid Swords, hasn't been that interesting. The title track to Beneath The Surface was tight.

Raekwon: Created the best album of ANY of the Wu Joints, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, but other than scattered joints here and there, he's been stuck in neutral ever since.

RZA: One of the greatest hip-hop producers the genre's ever seen.

My friend and I were listening to GZA's Liquid Swords yesterday and he asked me what Wu Tang album I thought was best and without hesitation I said Raekwon's Cuban Linx.

I don't know if Bjork ever dated Rza. I remember he did a remix to Bachelorette. I never heard it, because back then, when I saw the import at Virgin records, it was like, $27.00. I'd buy that chit if I saw it now, though.
