Right. And the fact is that the public isn't used to this. Didn't Gwen's latest single "Crash" not do anything, either. The days of releasing five or six singles from an album are over. Record companies would be happy if they could do the job with just one! "Crash" and "Serious" are my favorites, but they got no reaction at the show I went to.

I didnt think this song would go high anyway but I think its one of the best tracks on the record no matter what. Much much better than "Dont 4get About Us" Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

"Say Somethin'" is by far the best track on the Mimi album, but it should have been released as a single earlier. Right around the time they decided to release "Shake It Off." BTW, these days an album has real staying power if it manages to chart three singles in the top 40. So the fact that Mariah managed to get four big singles out of this album is extraordinary. Nevertheless, it's probably ran its course on the charts, and really began to do so after Mary J. Blige released her album. Kelly Clarkson, though, is on her fifth single with "Walk Away", though technically her first single on Breakaway (the title track) was originally a soundtrack release.

What? How to flop again on American radio like Madonna?

What? How to flop again on American radio like Madonna? These lambs can't help but compare that cow to Madonna on every occasion. Madonna is hardly concerned about chart success like Moo moo. Had this album flopped for her she'd be slitting her wrists.... err breaking plates again.

Long live Mooriah! It's so funny she cried when losing the Grammy to U2 for album of the year. Honestly i'm no big U2 fan, but i'm glad they won just to hear that story. She also has a party and bakes a cake for every #1 she gets Honestly, she has to be a miserable human being always seeking approval from others. She needs awards and chart positions to fuel her engine....sadly her lambs are the same.

I can understand being upset just because you'd like to win, but she wasn't the favorite or anything. She's out there.

I know, i think it's even more funny that she believed her album was worthy of winning album of the year. Selling a lot of albums and having #1s don't make your album artistically relevent, Ms. Carey.

I love Mariah, but it's time to put this album to bed!
Stop milking it already.

I thought it was Kanye who did this. Having a lot of number one hits and selling a lot of albums may not necessarily be an artistic statement, but "Mimi" was one of the best albums out last year. Granted, it was a weak year overall, but it was still among the best albums. 2004, though, is probably the best year this decade for album releases.

He's toured with U2 and is friends with Bono. He's opening more shows later in the year for them.

I love how you post with your little computer all the time. It's cute Yes, i've read it was Mariah in her dressing room crying when U2 won. And as u2prince said, it's understandable to be disappointed but to cry, c'mon she's a big girl now..... It shows how she puts her heart into awards and chart positions rather than the artistic merrits of her work. Can you imagine what a mess Prince would be if he acted the same way she did?

I've never heard about Mariah crying and her post Grammy interviews reveal quite the opposite but whatever. If an album is strong why not milk it? These days it seems like we're so used to getting 1 or 2 singles per album. It’s great when someone can release 4 or 5 singles. If it has a long shelf life why should it be shut down? Then there are the cases when there are strong albums and we wonder why the label didn’t release more songs. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Mariah was in the audience when U2 won. And she wasn't crying. She was sitting composedly with Marc Sudack. [Edited 5/1/06 18:38pm]

Please lets see how Madonna does on her 5t/6th single or if she even get 6 Grammy nominations The song hasn't tanked, it's getting played, but no downloads since most have the album already . Can I Have It.. Say Something..is like thee hottest..but come on y is it not up there? 2 Princey? People are getting sick of them, they need to disapear for a little while. you know in 2003 3 out 5 songs on UK radio had input from them, so it's a little overkill, but they are still one the best production groups arounds
