Goldfrapp & Depeche Mode - Together Again!

It's been too long since I started a Goldfrapp thread. razz

As a sort of preview to Goldfrapp's European tour with Depeche Mode this summer, they will do one date together in the U.S. at New York's Jones Beach theater on Saturday May 13th.

Unfortunately, I have a ticket to see Giant Drag at Irving Plaza that night so I can't go, but I will see Goldfrapp when they perform solo at Irving Plaza two days later on May 15th.

Also, Goldfrapp will be on the Late Show with David Letterman on May 17th.

It's a NY-Goldfrapp week! woot! I'll have to be on the lookout for any Alison sightings in Manhattan during that time. cool

They've done a few Depeche Mode remixes, haven't they? I have to look into those. There was a time when a new Depeche Mode 12" was a mandatory purchase for me. Now that they've all been released on CD, I've sold most of the 12" singles I owned and just kept a few with the intent of getting all the CD boxes one day, but that's an expensive purchase and that day keeps getting farther away. neutral

I did pick up the "Precious" 2x12" last year and the U.K. "Pain That I'm Used To" 12" (Jacques Lu Cont) a few weeks ago for the dancier mixes. Still not a fan of their recent albums though.

Those are the only three DM albums I have (other than the singles comps). Of those I like 'Music For The Masses' the most.

The 13th was originally supposed to be a headlining show in Chicago, but it got cancelled in favor of the opening Depeche Mode slot in NY.
