I think he had a heart attack during the "Reality" tour, and I'm pretty sure he got medication afterwards. He looks like someone who got cortisone (I can tell you from own experience). Is that applied to people with heart diseases?

Steroids will do that. My dad was on those at the end of his life. Hopefully, David doesn't need to stay on these meds(if it is the meds) for too long.

That looks like medication-induced puffiness. I feel sorry for him. Kathleen Turner had rheumatoid arthritis for years and the steroids she was on caused her face to bloat. Everyone called her a fat alcoholic for almost a decade *SMH*

Within a very short amount of time on the Reality tour a roadie fell to his death from a lighting rig, he got lolli-popped in the eye and had angioplasty after suffering chest pains for several days. It was later ruled that he indeed had a heart attack. All of this added up, I'm sure. Knowing how restless he is, I know this must be a hard time for him...to be at the mercy of his body. It's nice to see him still out and about and still smiling. At least he still has all his hair.

quite honestly he loks like cancer patients after a serious bout of treatments.

i'm not being bitchy either. that bloated "plastic" look to his face. or maybe it's prednisone which also gives one that look.

He has more hair than I do at 25.

Looks change and eventually fade over time, and age and illness & medications can do a number on the human body.

He's still DAVID BOWIE.

As long as he's feeling well (and I do hope he is) these days, that's what's important.

If it is due to his meds, I just hope he doesn't need to be on them long and that all turns out well. I can't imagine a world without a Bowie.

If not, I've got to say that's the fastest I've ever seen someone age. Just 2 years ago he was stunningly age-defying, and now you could pass him on the street and just see an old man.






afterthought: And can I say I HATE those veneers. I liked the wonky British teeth he used to have.
