The Motown Tragedies

I just finished watching The Temptations Story on TV. And I was staggered to find out every single original member of the group, except for Otis Williams has died. sad What makes it sadder is that none of them were that old when they died, at the very most they were in their early 50s.

And it's not just the Temptations from the Motown family that have died early; Marvin Gaye, Florence Ballad, Tammi Terrell all died prematurely and I am sure there are others.

yes very sad. I've seen that Temptations movie countless times, but i've always wondered how the other original members view of the whole experience was, since we only see Otis' point of view of what happened. I think he could have given David Ruffin another chance, but hey we won't ever know what David's point of view was. confused
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

As someone said I was refering to the original members and Dennis Edwards is not an original member, he wasn't in the initial line up.

What about Paul Williams, an O.G. member of the Temptations as well???? Then you got Lawrence Payton & Obie Benson of the Four Tops.

It's also tragic that Jermaine Jackson didn't capture the same success as Michael as a solo artist. sad
