Hitsville U.S.A.

Where is the love for Motown on this board.

Besides Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, they are not really discussed.

Where are the Temptations, Supremes, Jr. Walker, Undisputed Truth, Edwin Starr discussions at.

I'm still wondering what I Wish It Would Rain by The Temptations was about? I heard somewhere that the songwriter who wrote this song died 3 days after the song was recorded and became a hit...

whoknows

Where is the love indeed. Five days this thread's been up and look at the thunderstorm of replies. It makes me so proud. But seriously, I've learned about a lot of artists from org posts, but nothing about HDH, Whitfield, etc. To be honest I'm more interested in the writers and producers than the artists but orgers seem to inore anything pre 1970 other than The Beatles. So, can anyone tell me anything I don't already know about the musicians and writers at Hitsville?
