You mean, like.. any '70s funk? Not sure if you own it already, but Parliament's "Mothership Connection", which has been remastered and everything, kicks ass. smile So does Funkadelic's "Maggot Brain" and "One Nation Under A Groove." They, too, have been remastered.

Yup, any! biggrin

I have the 1995 CD version of Mothership Connection, but I am definitely getting the remaster - didn't even know it had been remastered eek Have any other Parliament albums been remastered, because I haven't updated my collection in some time.

I have Maggot Brain, but will definitely look into ONUAG. Thanks for the recs! cool

Parliament's "Up For The Down Stroke" and "Chocolate City" have been remastered, too. Now, I haven't listened to either, yet, but I've heard they're awesome early works, if not on the level of "Mothership" or "Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome" (I wish they'd remastered the latter already disbelief.. it's quite possibly Parliament's crowning achievement).

Oh yeah, and Sly and the Family Stone's "There's A Riot Goin' On" has been remastered, too... in the UK. The US amazon website has that remastered UK import, however. biggrin

If you don't have

Music of My Mind
Talking Book
Innervisions
Fulfillingness' First Finale
Songs in the Key of Life

then you owe it to yourself to rectify the situation. Seriously. And no, The Definite Collection isn't good enough.
