A cool idea for the cover of an arguably great album, but this is pretty much what it always looked like to me.

After the iconic All That You Can't Leave Behind album cover, I think this one is just awful; it makes the band look old and washed up.

That cover is almost as bad as October. How could they force Anton to do such a crappy shot? There is no way he thought that looked good.

Same here.

I always thought that was a really cool pic. I like to look at old photos like that and wonder what the people's lives were like.

Hands down, the worst cover I've ever seen. A complete lack of everything a good cover should have.

Someone else had told me they love that cover too, but I just don't get it. It's not a good picture of Alison and her image (at least now) is such a strong part of Goldfrapp. And that color scheme--brownish-yellow with pink type--horrible!

I love that cover too.....it's kinda eerie lookin'. I love how her hair morphs into a bat in the middle.

I dont find that cover that especial.

My vote for Abbey Road cover

It might not be the best, but it's original, interesting, has symbolism, it's well planned, well executed, well photographed, psychedelic but not completely dated, and (what really seperates it from Magical Mystery Tour) it looks nice--the colors, the layout, etc.

Abbey Road is a great cover, too. A classic.

The Simpsons did a spoof of Abbey Road too.....they must be huge Beatles fans. lol

I actually look to it for inspiration when making covers for my music. The album cover stands out IMO. And it's so unusual too like the music.

Fairly well done, but a bit gimmicky. Like the When Doves Cry Video.

That's a good idea. Simple. There's an alternate cover now, isn't there, with no hologram, I think it's black & white? Maybe it was for the single. Also much better.

That's fair, but I think it's better than people think. It's easy to dismiss it with a cover so ridiculous--you think "look at them trying to be psychedelic, it's not them at all." I don't think the music's bad.

biggrin I like about two songs off that one. That wizard hat is just ridiculous though. It reminds me of the puppets in the Land of Make Believe on Mister Roger's Neighborhood. lol
