Slash, u fucking rock! True, so is 'Purple Rain', only both songs suffer from overkill. So in this genre I rather play a track from Soundgarden's Superunknown album, pick a tune!

Slash's solo still - and probably always will be - one of the greatest solos of all time. That alone makes the song. It elevates it to the next level. Slash's crowning moment, too - though his Wedding tear-up scene in November Rain comes close

Maybe, but his style was refreshing after a decade of shitty guitar players who were snatching from Eddie Van Halen's bag of tricks rather than playing music. My Legacy

I don't like this song. | |

Drums are lacking a bit imo. But the vocal and guitar make up for it. Classic rock song that would probably be remembered in better light had Axl not been such a knob.
I wonder that about Prince sometimes. Love ya Prince Later [Edited 4/25/06 17:41pm] Cause tomorrow is taking too long
and yesterday's too far away and the reality that you believe in begins to bind.

I find their sound quite refined for how "raw" their image was. I don't own this album but those singles are classic.

That cd is the one by GNR I like. I'm not an Axle fan at all ,but I like his band. His voice is way too whiny for me,but he really rocked on the fisrt cd. That song is great! They play it at the gym a lot and it makes a great workout song, too while you're struggling. "I'm a pig..so,magic elixir I swill"

GnR shouldn’t be underestimated for what they did in their time.
Sweet Child o mine Welcome to the Jungle Patience…. Brilliant! November rain Get in the ring… awesome energy How many times have you heard people do Knockin’ on Heaven’s door on Karaoke and thrown in Axl’s “aye… aye… ay ay yeah”… Even when its clearly Bob Dylan’s backing track? Estranged Rocket Queen Used to Love Her The spaghetti incident sucked though. A bunch of burned out rockers trying to do British punk with American accents. That’s just wrong. And where is Chinese Democracy?

It was a great song from one hell of a great, great album
Slash and Axl usually get the glory but Guns did have a wicked secret weapon: the bass playing of Duff McKagan. And I'm a big Izzy fan too because he was the only one cool enough to quit before everything got massively gay.
