my favorite "cribs" was the one with moby, where he showed off his cramped studio apartment in the lower east side in NYC. lol of course, the guy's got to have property all over the place with all the money he's raked in, but i thought it was a hilarious statement all the same.

i also liked the patti labelle one (which i'm pretty sure was "cribs", oddly enough) - her home was ostentatious and a bit precious, but the cool thing about it was you saw how much she genuinely enjoyed being a hostess and showing off her home, and she also did a little cooking demo. it was pretty adorable.

I'm a sucker for the big, gaudy ones like Mariah's and Boy George's. giggle

confused Oh, all those "cribs" are so tacky and unpersonal! Everything looks as if it's made out of plastic and all these cribs look alike. Please, if you are going to be on the show, don't you all hire the same designer (who by the way should get fired)!!!

I was actually quite impressed with Alanis Morrissette's crib because it was nothing like the other ones I've seen. You can tell she had a hand in the design of everything that went into the place.

I haven't seen hers. It's good somebody's not completely lost!

I don't understand how you can live in a crib that's been completely decorated by somebody else? I mean, of course you can get help, but most look like if they let some designer in there and said "Do whatever you want. I ain't gonna be there that much anyway. Just make it look flashy." It's dangerous to let some designers get that much freedom....

oh, me too...but it's refreshing to see that every once in a while, a celebrity will lower themselves to be seen as human.

This show is no different than the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Shows like this have always been done. no need to hate on rappers because they showin' off their crappy stuff.

And as far as them living so close to neighbors and all that nonsense, many of them are still living in homes I couldn't afford (even the so called "average" ones)AND for some, this is a step up from the neighborhood they were from.

AND THERE IT IS! Thank you, Rhondab.....I was waiting for a voice of reason before I ended up saying this.

Hell, it's just another rapper's house, rented or not. Just another Playstation or XBox, so what? That's what they get off on, their money spent. I wouldn't buy half the shit that's in some of those houses nor have something that I couldn't spell or know its relevance, but, hey, that's them.

I just take notice of the classier or well-put-together cribs that some have, no matter what the taste. shrug

Mariah doing her stairmaster in stilettos and a coctail dress wasn't human enough for you? Whatever! talk to the hand
